EYSA Cheerleading Wraps Summer Practice With a Bang

Ettrick cheerleaders and coaches pose proudly as they model their tie dye creations during field day.

The Ettrick Trojans Cheerleaders ended their summer cheer practice session with a slew of activities including tie dye, an art show, field day, block party, and movie night! The festivities were a culmination of summer practices that began July 11, 2022 and served as a perfect send off to our student athletes who begin school next week.

Tie Dye and Art Day

Ettrick cheerleaders, coaches, and parents participated in designing tie dye shirts and posters to display at field day. Everyone had lots of fun decorating their shirts and eagerly anticipating the results!

Field Day

Ettrick Cheerleading held its first annual field day on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. The cheerleaders and coaches had a great time participating in various field day activities such as the crab walk relay, jump rope relay, hula hoop relay, water balloon toss, and water balloon hot potato. The cheerleaders also had the opportunity to go "fishing" for prizes! Cheerleaders and coaches wore their beautiful tie dye shirts they designed during our previously held tie dye shirt and art activity. Art posters were on display during field day for all visitors to see. The EYSA family enjoyed pizza and cupcakes to help celebrate the occasion. Block Party: Ettrick Elementary School

EYSA was proud to participate in the 2022 Ettrick Elementary Back-to-School Block Party. Most of our Ettrick cheerleaders are current students and/or alumnae of Ettrick Elementary. It was a joy to welcome back and help celebrate Ettrick students!

Movie Night

EYSA cheerleaders celebrated the end of summer with movie night. The cheerleaders were entertained as they watched Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. The cheerleaders left inspired to embark upon the new cheer season with a renewed spirit of competition and teamwork. Thank you to all cheer parents and cheer coaches for donations towards this event. Thank you to our Junior Cheer Team Mom, Demetria for the popcorn and Flag Cheer Mom, Lateisha for her assistance!
