Congratulations, Ettrick Cheer Coaches!



The Ettrick Youth Sports Association (EYSA) is proud to congratulate cheerleading coaches Saniya and Serinati as graduating members of the class of 2024!


Coach Saniya


Coach Saniya graduated from both Brightpoint Community College and Matoaca High School (MHS) with her associate of art degree in liberal arts and advanced studies diploma. Saniya graduated MHS with honors and achieved a 4.1 GPA while serving as EYSA cheer coach for the last 4 years, MHS varsity cheer co-captain, junior and senior class president, DECA vice president of community service, WOBTDAA junior and senior debutante, Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy scholar, Bible Covenant Believers in Christ Deliverance Ministry Scholar, Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Scholar, Pi Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Scholar, Rho Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Scholar, Anew Living Scholar, Project R.O.Y. Scholar, Best Buds volunteer, and member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. Saniya was recently awarded the 2024 Chesterfield Cheerleader League (CCL) Scholarship for CCL alumni who cheered with a CCL association for at least 4 years and coached for at least 2 years. Saniya served as an Ettrick cheerleader for 10 years and coach for the last 5 years.


Saniya will attend the Virginia State University (VSU) as a presidential scholar and member of the honors program where she will study marketing. Saniya plans to attend law school after graduating VSU. She hopes to become a lawyer for a Fortune 100 corporation.


Coach Serinati


Coach Serinati graduated from the Virginia State University, summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. She was the highest ranked graduating transfer psychology major at VSU and highest ranked psychology student athlete as a Woo Woo cheerleader. Serinati served as historian of Psi Chi, an international psychology honor society and proud spring 2024 initiate of the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she served as alternate delegate for their regional conference.


Serinati will continue her education at VSU where she will pursue her PhD in clinical psychology. Upon graduation, Serinati hopes to own a practice that focuses on mental health treatment for her local community.
